Chris is the Barclays Fellow in Entrepreneurial Finance at Saïd Business School. His main area of expertise is financial intermediation, especially Private Equity, Venture Capital and Corporate Banking. His research and teaching focus on the governance and regulation of financial intermediaries in these fields, and how their behaviour impacts economic welfare.
In addition to his academic work, Chris has been active as a policy advisor to regulatory and supervisory financial authorities. At Saïd Business School, Chris plays an active role in advising the UK financial sector on economic growth, with a special focus on venture financing.
Chris obtained undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business Administration and Corporate Law from European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany, and New York University. He obtained his Ph.D. (Dr. rer. pol.) from Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany.
